The Trip

The Learning Aims

This is a very bespoke and custom trip that aims to incorporate as much flexibility with the weather and snow conditions as possible.

We have access to team transport enabling us to ski in 8 resorts depending on conditions.

The aim is to push boundaries outside of comfort zones, into learning zones and stay away from panic zones. In this 'zone of proximal development', we try to teach the skills that people may have never encountered on skis. Steep slopes, narrow colours, roped entries into faces and long tree lines.

With expert coaching and low ratios (3:1 max) we can facilitate the learning of skills that no other schools are providing.

The Resorts

Ste Foy Village is a perfect base for this trip in the middle of the Tarentaise valley, with easy access from the airport and a short drive to all the local resorts or mountains away from any resorts.

Ste Foy itself is a tiny resort with fantastic tree skiing. It is famous for being hidden from the wind and therefore keeps powder snow. Off the back of the resort in both directions is wild off-piste terrain.

Val d'Isere and Tignes need no introduction for off-piste and ski touring, they are simply world class with Heli-ski options.

La Rossiere has amazing high lift-accessible off piste pitches on the way to La Thuile for cheap Italian Pizza lunches and Bombardinos

Villeroger has the long tree lines, Les Arcs has access to the Grand Col and S colours, for 1500 - 2000 m off piste descents with only remote alpine refuges along the way.
