Val d'Isere 2022

TDC Expeditions

As people develop as skiers both in skills and confidence as a result of ski lessons and coaching, we want to support their desire to experience new mountains and resorts to put those skills to use and continue to challenge their skiing performance.

TDC expeditions are organising very low ratio trips to unusual places to progress peoples skiing via an educational journey rather than standard ski instruction and lessons. We aim to visit places such as Kyrgyzstan for ski touring in powder conditions that facilitate skill growth, and powder skiing in Japan where the weather ensures snow that enables off piste and powder skills to develop.

These trips and expeditions allow for all round increases in a skiers knowledge and capacity as an off piste skier. The journies are adventerous and eventful, they are experiences rather than products.

Terry James Walker

I've been skiing from a very young age, and ski instructing full time for 10 years. I specialise in Off Piste Skiing and Ski Touring.

In the summer I am a Climbing and Mountaineering Instructor.

Val d'Isere is home, but travelling and experiencing wild foreign mountains is my passion.

Rich Jones

Off Piste skiing is my drive for living in the mountains. I've been skiing and ski touring for 15 seasons in Val d'Isere, and travelling the world to find new powder stashes regularly in that time.

Day to day, I'm instructing off piste around Val, and in the Summer I live in the South West (France) surfing whenever the waves are pumping.

Kyrgyzstan 2019

"Terry and Richard created a fun expedition with good group dynamics which took into consideration different ski abilities. It was an excellent cultural experience and a fantastic immersion into a wild environment that incorporated a high level of safety management as required in a remote ski area"
